2 lemons, sliced
2 cups hot water
Place lemon slices and water in a pan and boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until half the water has evaporated (around 30 minutes probably). Remove from the heat and let cool. Put a piece of cheese cloth (katcha) in a strainer and strain the mixture. Squeeze the lemons thoroughly through the cloth to get all the juice out. Pour the strained mixture into a pump-type container. Spray on hair after shampoo. It will add body and shine to your hair. Keep the mixture for 1 to 2 months in the refrigerator.
Variation: Substitute 4 calamansi fruits for the lemons. The effect will be the same but it will not smell as good.
Why it works: The natural acids (citric) in the lemons help to remove alkaline residues from the hair making it nice and shiny.
